ENLARGED PORES
Sans titre (9).png

The pores of the skin have a function, they allow the skin to breathe. The pores allow the evacuation of sebum and sweat. Sebum gets lodged in them and clogs the pores, creating pimples and blackheads. Some people naturally have larger pores, but this may also be due to dead skin cells, excess oil, makeup, sweat, dirt, stress, heat, etc...

They are most often visible on the T-zone. Over the years, the pores of the skin become larger.

What causes enlarged pores?

The sun: UVA and UVB rays make pores more dilated by stimulating the sebaceous glands which produce too much sebum.

Tobacco: Nicotine is harmful to the hyaluronic acid naturally present in the skin, which allows good hydration.

Diet: A balanced diet is important, as eating too much fat will have an impact on the quality of the skin and the production of sebum.

What treatments to tighten pores?

The Potenza (RF microneedling): combines micro-needles and radiofrequency to stimulate collagen production, thereby improving skin texture and visibly reducing the appearance of pores.

The peeling: It allows an exfoliation of the dead cells which block the pores. The pores will tighten afterwards.

The Viva (nanofractional radio frequency): This medical grade resurfacing will tighten the pores while firming the skin. Infusions of essential vitamins and minerals allow for the production of elastin, and the more elastin the skin has, the tighter the pores will become.

For optimal results, skin safety and maintenance of these results, ZO©️ medical grade products will be part of your treatment plan depending on the skin types and issues being treated.
