How does cellulite develop?

Cellulite is more common in women and rare in men. Cellulite is found more particularly on these areas of the body: the buttocks, stomach, thighs, arms.

Cellulite is a cluster of fat cells present under the dermis that gives an orange peel appearance to the skin. Cellulite is created mainly because of a diet that is too fatty, which favors the storage of lipids in the fat cells. When there has been water retention, this favors the swelling of fat cells and the orange peel appearance.

Cellulite also causes poor blood and lymphatic circulation, which prevents proper drainage of water and toxins. There will therefore be a reinforcement of cellulite.

Cellulite can also be created because of:

- Lack of physical exercise

- Stress

- Hormonal imbalances

- The contraceptive pill

- Pregnancy

- Menopause

- Puberty

- Genetics

- Vein insufficiency

Cellulite can affect everyone, so it is not only found in overweight people.

How to treat cellulite?

It is almost impossible to make cellulite disappear without going through aesthetic medicine treatments.

At Dermagyms we treat cellulite effectively, a personalized treatment protocol will be established according to each patient:

- Cryolipolysis: This treatment freezes and destroys localized fat cells in one to two sessions. Thus, the treatment also acts on the quality of the skin and reduces the amount of cellulite.

- Venus Freeze (multi-polar radiofrequency): Multi-polar radiofrequency treatment uses heat to naturally stimulate collagen production and reduce fat cells which smoothes cellulite.
